Trestle Park
Adrian, Michigan

This urban park is located within walking distance of downtown Adrian and has become one the most successful and highly used parks in the community. The centerpiece of the park is an abandoned railroad trestle that was adaptively repurposed as a pedestrian deck. The park includes 30 acres of river bottomland, picnic pavilions, an amphitheater, a little league field, and restrooms. The importance of the trestle was reflected by the railroad theme with all buildings labeled "Stations," such as "Comfort Station" for the restroom.

The park won a State of Michigan, American Society of Landscape Architects Merit Design Award.
