In 1988, the Seminary received a gift of $44 million from Ralph Beeson. Deardorff Design Resources developed a campus master plan and implementation drawings for approximately $30 million in new buildings, a completely new pedestrian walkway and parking system, a signage and wayfinding system, and a planting plan for the entire 30 acre campus.
